Meet the HeartWise Founders

As the founders of HeartWise Relationship Academy, we, Dr. Jim and Ruth Sharon, welcome you to our site! Our mission is to offer courses and programs for devoted couples and those preparing for a love relationship, to develop attitudes and skills conducive to deeply fulfilling partnerships.

Over our 45-plus-year careers as licensed psychotherapists, relationship coaches, and seminar and retreat facilitators, we have served thousands of couples. To date, we’ve also published six professional books. Married since 1970, we have raised three adult children and currently have three granddaughters. 

Our clients’ needs for learning new skills and having more healthy models of relationship have prompted our creating the HeartWise Relationship Academy. We are listening. We are creating a wisdom pool of knowledge and experience for the new stage of human development we lovingly call HeartWise.
